In Tyria, the world of Guild Wars 2, coins are used to pay for wares and services. Bronze coins have the lowest value, followed by silver coins (100 bronze) and Gold (100 silver). GW2 Gold is the most valuable kind of coin.
Coins can be obtained by doing quest events, looting fallen enemies, seeling wares to a vendor or other players, as well as for solved challenges. Depending on the difficulty, you will receive bronze, silver or Gold which you can use to buy wares from merchants or players, get your armor repaired, teleport elsewhere, purchase gems or reset your traits.
